Frequently Asked

Questions we get.

What is EDDM, and why not just do social ads?+

EDDM (Every Door Direct Mail) is a USPS program that delivers to every address on a carrier route — no mailing list, no opt-in, no algorithm deciding who sees it. It lands in the hand of everyone in the neighborhood, homeowners and renters alike, the same week, every issue.

Do I need to already have a logo or ad design?+

No. Send us your logo and what you want the offer to say, and we'll lay out your box to spec at no extra charge, on every tier. If you have print-ready art already, that works too — see the specs table above.

Can I pick which issue I run in?+

Yes, as long as the box you want is open for that issue. October 2026 is the launch issue for East Plano + Murphy. Reserve early — boxes go quickly, and reserving locks in your category exclusivity before a competitor does.

When do I actually get charged?+

Not when you reserve. Reserving a spot is free and doesn't require payment. Once a full side of the mailer (8 spots) is reserved, we'll reach out to collect payment before that issue goes to print. If a side doesn't fill in time, your reservation simply carries forward to the next issue at no cost — or you can withdraw it any time before payment is collected.

Will I be on the same mailer as a competitor?+

No. Once your business's reservation is confirmed, we won't add another business in your same category or field to that issue — only one landscaper, only one plumber, only one coffee shop, and so on, per issue. That exclusivity holds for as long as your reservation is active.

How does billing work on the 3/6/12-month terms?+

Multi-month terms lock in a lower monthly rate. Once your side fills and billing begins, it bills automatically each month for the length of the term — no need to re-pay or re-reserve each issue.

How does billing work on the 1-month term?+

1-month terms are month-to-month — billed monthly at $399, starting once your side fills, with no fixed end date. Cancel any time with 30 days' notice, no fee.

Can I cancel a 3/6/12-month plan early?+

Yes — multi-month plans require 90 days' written notice to cancel. There's no cancellation fee; you're simply billed through the end of your 90-day notice period, then the plan ends. Full details are in our Terms of Service.

Is my business outside East Plano + Murphy — can I still advertise?+

DH Loconomy is expanding across North Dallas route by route. Reach out and we'll let you know when a route near you opens up, or if your business serves East Plano + Murphy customers regardless of your own location.

Is payment secure?+

Payments are processed through Stripe, the same payment processor used by major online retailers. We never see or store your card details directly.

How do I know if my offer is actually working?+

Every box gets a short code — like OCT04 — printed right on your offer. It's the month plus your box number. Customers just mention it when they redeem. That gives you (and us) an easy way to count real redemptions without needing any POS integration. We also track your specific offer's page views separately from every other business's — each business gets its own individual page (scan the mailer's QR code → pick the month → pick a business), so we can tell you exactly how many people looked at your offer, not just a total for the whole mailer. At the end of each issue, tell us your redemption count at loconomy.org/report.html — takes 30 seconds — and we'll show you both numbers together.

What if I miss the artwork deadline?+

Your reservation rolls to the next available issue automatically — just let us know, or send artwork as soon as you can and we'll do our best to fit the current print run.
